There are some who simply want, and can afford, to spend their days in leisure. Then there are those who either can not afford, or do not want, to go without some form of additional income. Let’s face it, Social Security does not provide financial security.

Keep active, volunteer or find a craft or hobby that you enjoy and leads to better health as well as possibly a little extra cash. Many colleges will allow you to attend classes free, a great way to exercise the brain. Check with those near you. Check with your Town Hall to see if any programs are available . Where I live there are numerous activities and trips for free or a small charge.
Ten ways to get active.
Use a push mower.
Go for walks to nearby locations.
If it’s a little far for walking, ride a bike.
Clean out that garage or attic. If they are already clean see if there’s a neighborhood improvement activity.
Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
Go for walk at the start of the day.
Volunteer as a coach or a referee.
Join a exercise program.
Join a team, bowling, softball or whatever.
Park at the farthest end of the lot.
Moderate activity can include.
Washing the car for 45 minutes
Gardening for 30 minutes
Push a stroller for one to two mile
Raking leaves for 30 minutes
Shovel snow for 15 minutes
